Privacy Policy

The short version: your tasks, routines and notes are stored only on your device. We don't run accounts or servers for your planner data and we can't see it.
The app is free and shows ads from Google AdMob, which may collect limited device and usage data as described below.
Who we are
Hourwave (“the app”) is a day-planning app for iOS and Android published by VividLabs (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have.
Your planner data stays on your device
Tasks, routines, focus sessions, notes, links and settings are stored only in a database on your device. We do not operate accounts or servers for this data, we never receive it, and we cannot access it.
You can remove all of it at any time with Settings → Delete all data, or by uninstalling the app. On Android, the app opts out of automatic cloud backup, so this data is not copied to your Google account backup.
Calendar
If you allow calendar access, Hourwave reads events from the calendars you choose so it can show them on your timeline. Events are processed on your device only. Hourwave does not change, store or upload your calendar events. Calendar access is optional, and you can turn it off at any time in your device settings.
Notifications
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push notification service or notification token is used.
Planning assistant (optional)
The built-in planner runs entirely on your device and works offline.
If you choose to connect an AI server in Settings, the text you type into the planner (and the title and notes of a task you ask it to break down) is sent to that server, which forwards it to Anthropic to generate suggestions. Nothing else is sent. If you do not connect a server, no planner text leaves your device.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Hourwave is free and shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:
- Device identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID or Apple's IDFA (only where you permit it)
- Approximate location derived from your IP address
- Ad interaction data, such as ad views and taps
- Diagnostic information, such as crash and performance data from the ads SDK
Consent. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and other regions where it is required, the app asks for your consent through Google's consent tool before any ads are requested. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ads & privacy.
iOS tracking. On iPhone and iPad, personalised ads are used only if you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, you'll see non-personalised ads, and the app keeps working exactly the same.
Google processes this data under its own policies. Learn more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not create accounts or ask you to sign in.
- We do not collect your name, e-mail address, contacts or precise location.
- We do not use your planner content for advertising.
- The app does not include its own analytics or tracking tools.
Children
Hourwave is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). Ads in the app are restricted to content suitable for general audiences.
Your choices and rights
Your planner data is fully under your control on your device: you can view, edit or delete it at any time in the app. Because we never receive it, we hold no copy of it to access, correct or delete.
For data processed by Google for advertising, you can update your consent in Settings → Ads & privacy, reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings, and use the controls described in Google's privacy policy.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, we will update this policy and the date at the top of this page.
